Star Wars Millennium Falcon Quad Review

The Air Hogs Star Wars Remote Control Ultimate Millennium Falcon Quad drone is a super-fun drone to fly- especially if you’re a Star Wars fan.

The drone’s body is tough and durable, while the controls are intuitive and beginner-friendly.

Plus, it’s an excellent model for children since it can be flown indoors. In this review, we’ll show you what this RC drone has to offer.

Flight Time

6 Minutes

200 Feet

45 Minutes

First off, let’s talk about the drone’s design. This is arguably the drone’s best selling point.

With a futuristic spaceship design, Star Wars fans are going to fall in love. Similar to the UDI U818A and the Air Hogs Helix X4, the motors for this drone are buried within the body.

This means that you’ll be hard pressed to break them (even during very strong crashes).

You can fly this quadcopter up to 200 feet away via its 2.4 GHz transmitter. Finally, it’s quite fast, so you’ll be able to zip through the air aggressively while having a ton of fun.

Fun Flying in the Dark

Like most RC drones, the Air Hogs Star Wars Remote Control Ultimate Millennium Falcon Quad drone comes with bright LED lights that will let you fly at night.

The pair of LED lights in the front of the drone are colored differently than the LED lights in the back of the drone.

The reason for this is so that you don’t lose track of what direction your drone is facing at night.

Overall, you’ll have a lot of fun flying with this drone in the dark. Want to see what the drone looks like at night? Then check out this video:

Flight and Charging Time

When most people shop for an RC quadcopter, one of the first questions they have is, “How long does it fly?”. This is arguably the most important feature to look for.

This RC drone can stay in the air for about 5-6 minutes, which is similar to the Syma X5C.

Additionally, once the battery dies, you can recharge it back to maximum capacity in less than an hour using the USB charger that comes in the box. Keep in mind that the drone’s transmitter requires 6 AA batteries which are not included in the box.

I consider this a potential downside since most transmitters only require 2-4 batteries. Overall, the flight time for the Air Hogs Star Wars Remote Control Ultimate Millennium Falcon Quad is about average.

This is one of the few drones out there that I recommend for kids. Not only is it super-tough, but it’s also very easy to fly.

Whether you’re flying indoors or outdoors, it won’t take long to get accustomed to the controls.

If you’re going to fly it outdoors, make sure there’s no wind. Due to its lightweight body, it’s far too easy for it to get caught in the wind.

As for range, you can fly this RC quadcopter up to 200 feet away before it starts to lose connect with the transmitter.

Though, based on personal experience, I’ve been able to stretch this a little further when the conditions were right. Here’s a video that will give you an idea about how it handles:

Minimal Damage After a Crash

With most heavier drones, all it takes is one hard crash for it to completely break. But the Falcon Quad is different. Even if it crashes from 100 feet in the air onto the pavement, it still likely be able to fly.

Again, this is because the drone’s motors are located inside of its design, so the propellers are completely protected. Will it survive getting run over by a car?

Of course not. But it should survive any crash from the air. Also, you will save a ton of money by not having to continually buy propellers.

With drones that don’t have prop guards, the propellers break very often, resulting in you having to buy more. With this drone, that won’t ever be an issue.

One aspect of the Millennium Falcon Quad that I really enjoy is the transmitter. It has almost a “space-like” theme to it, which is pretty cool.

While the controls are the same as any other transmitter, it definitely stands out in the aesthetic department.

Priced affordably, I’ll admit that this drone is a little overpriced (similarly priced drones get more flight time and handle better). I think the reason people buy it isn’t because of its flight time or durability.

Most people buy it because they love Star Wars! If you’re a big Star Wars fan, or if you know someone who loves Star Wars, then this is the perfect drone to buy. If you want something with better flight time for the same price, check out the Syma X8C.

Air Hogs Star Wars Remote Control Ultimate Millennium Falcon Quad Review Summary

To summarize, this RC quadcopter gets about 6 minutes of flight time, charges in less than an hour, and is super-durable. If you’re shopping for a drone for your kid, then this is an excellent model to consider.

Thanks to the drone’s LED lights, you can fly at night with ease. Also, with a range of 200 feet, you’ll have more than enough space to really put your drone to the test. Thanks for reading this review. Good luck and fly safe.
